Home Décor Colour Inspiration for Winter 2020/21

Its that time of year again. When the dark nights are drawing in and the bitterness of the cold morning air makes the steam rise out like a steaming sauna from the warmth of your breath.

We want to surround ourselves in warmth, making every aspect of our lives ultimately snuggly and cosy. So, let’s have a look into some colour inspirations to warm up our homes and make us feel ready to face the winter!

1. Burnt Orange, Terracotta & Soft Red

Nothing says warmth like the fire filled hues of Burnt Oranges and Deep Reds. Playing around with the softer tones of the Terracotta will give a lighter edge to the fiery hues making your room glow. If you aren't brave enough to opt for a bright coloured sofa, play around with some new cushion covers or decorative ornaments to give an updated look for the wintery season without spending too much.

2. Burgundy, Deep Red & Blush Pink


Will Blush Pink ever go out of fashion?


Definitely not this season. Mix the soft shade with deeper colours of lush Burgundy and Deep Red to give this summery shade a more seasonal winter twist. The darker work perfectly for a carpet or rug for busy households; stains are virtually impossible to see on a darker carpet.

3. Ripe Olive, Mustard Yellow & Dark Grey


Just because the summer is over doesn't mean that we want to completely get rid of the Bright Yellows that we love. So don't. Yellow is a fantastic colour to brighten these darker days. Mix with Ripe Olive Green's and darker shades Grey's to give your room a more seasonal edge.
